Nintendo announced the upcoming European launch of WarioWare: D.I.Y. today. The handheld microgame creation video game will be hitting European retailers’ shelves this Friday, April 30th for around £26.99. As we have previously mentioned, the game is focused on letting players’ imaginations run wild, allowing them to create their own weird and wacky microgames to play or share with friends, and even the art and music in those games. How complex those games are comes down to how creative you can be, and probably how much time you have to devote to make sure everything works properly as well.
If you’re really creative and confident in your own creations, you can even take part in the monthly contests Nintendo is holding to see who can create the most interesting microgames based on specific themes. The entries are judged by Nintendo and the winning games will be made available to other players the following month.

However, if you’re not feeling that creative, you can still play the nearly 100 pre-made microgames that come on the card, as well as download microgames from via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. WarioWare D.I.Y. is rated PEGI 7 in Europe.
